Another Happy-Making Thing

I doubt most people even know it existed, but I caught the Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot cartoon on Fox Kids whenever I could. It ran for 26 episodes before being mercilessly crushed in a cuddly tide of Pokemon and various other soulless Japanese toy/video game/keychain/dildo commercials. It was a pretty darn good show that featured lots of actual animation and a pile of excellent voice actors, including Pamela Adlon, Stephen Root, Kathy Kinney, and Tom Hanks's brother. Check out the opening, courtesy of everyone's favorite cable access channel, YouTube:

And how 'bout that theme song?

Things that Make Me Happy:

Mike Parobeck drawing anything, but especially Mike Parobeck drawing Dolphus, whom I gather is a genetically engineered half human/half dolphin.

"Oh, man, you guys! This swimming sure is fun, huh!? Whee, swimming!"

Image from Who's Who in the Impact Universe. Dolphus is a character from The Fly, drawn by Parobeck and written by Len Strazewski, which I'm totally going to read one of these days, for real.

"Just let me just Deezen by you!"

It doesn't matter who you are or what you look like...

... if you're on the Internet Movie Database...

... someone thinks you're hot.
